ISNR Volunteers

 

Dear ISNR Attendee:

 

VOLUNTEER and ATTEND A WORKSHOP FOR FREE! 

 

Volunteers are a key factor in assuring the smooth operation of ISNR's 23rd Annual Conference, October 15-18, 2015. 

In exchange for your assistance (every 3-5 hours for work), volunteers will receive complimentary registration to 

one three-hour afternoon conference workshop. Volunteering is a great way to network, meet new colleagues and to help make the conference a success!

 

Volunteers who monitor conference workshops will receive that specific workshop for free in exchange for their service.

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS

 

To be a volunteer, you must meet the following requirements:

 

  • Be registered for the Conference at full cost.

  • Understand and communicate in English.

  • A limited number of spaces have been reserved for full-time students in accredited programs, post-docs, interns and professionals with financial limitations to assist as volunteers

 

All expenses related to the Conference, including hotel accommodations, transportation, parking, meals, etc., are the responsibility of the Volunteer.

VOLUNTEER APPLICATION PROCESS

 

1. Review the positions/shifts available

 

2. Complete the application

4. Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Volunteer slots are limited.

 

VOLUNTEER OPENINGS

 

Conference Workshop Monitor Shifts:

Thursday - Sunday Afternoon Workshops from 2:45 to 6:30 PM. 

Ensure attendees sign in, collect tickets, maintain attendance logs, pass out handouts, and collect feedback forms and workshop exams, assist speakers with arrangements and equipment, assist with room maintenance through society staff. Requires social skills, concentrated attention, and standing intermittently.

 

Fundraising Assistants: 

Thursday - Saturday 7 AM - 11:30, Noon - 4pm.

Sell raffle tickets/casino night chips at the registration desk throughout the day. Assist fundraising coordinator in preparations for fundraiser (raffle, casino night, etc.) including set-up, collecting donations, assist in tabulations, assist in distribution of any necessary prizes, and assist with any other related tasks under the direction of the fundraiser coordinator.
